Sir Steven of Porlock

A simple country knight from the wild and woolly west of England, Sir Steven is easily recognisable by his long hair and flowing beard. Affectionately known as “Beardy” his approach has been described as; “A triumph of enthusiasm over style”.

He launches himself into every challenge with almost boyish enthusiasm which has caused him his fair share of bumps and bruises. He’s a fine horseman though and relishes the challenges of skill such as spearing Saracen heads from the ground at a gallop and the Rings competition. Here the knights charge down the arena to spear small wooden rings on the end of a lance in a demonstration of skill and accuracy.

Sir Steven can always be relied upon to go as fast as he can, thundering towards the target with an enthusiastic smile. He can occasionally get a bit upset when things go wrong for him and his clumsiness when fighting on foot means that he’s often more of a danger to himself than his opponent.

When Sir Steven’s in the arena anything can happen … and usually does!
